Salvage Europe offers a full range of options for authentic, French oak flooring. Original footworn flooring salvaged and remastered for your interiors, or reclaimed and remilled 17th & 18thc. lumber, or modern old-growth single origin French oak from a sustainable forest (our Chenéoak brand) for contemporary flooring. We focus on the purity of quality and offer the best hardwood timber, old and new.

Salvage Europe sources antique woods from the ‘industrial forest’,– old buildings and other structures scheduled for demolition.

Our 'New' Oak's Story
While our single-origin French Oak is newly milled and is new to you, it's not exactly new at all!

Our single-origin French Oak is sourced exclusively from our partner forest in the Burgundy region of France. The trees in these forests are protected by strict forestry protection laws, meaning they are only permitted to be cut down once they reach maturity. As a result, most of these trees are well over 200 years old.
This allows us to provide hand-crafted old-growth French Oak in wide plank and long lengths, perfect for flooring and custom cabinetry.
